Ready for a new phone? If you’re here, the answer is probably yes. But which one deserves the next two years of your life?
If there’s one thing that’s certain, it’s that everyone’s smartphone needs are different. But after three weeks of hardcore research, I determined which features are most important to the average consumer. I tested 13 different phones, consulted with industry professionals, pored over online reviews, and investigated consumer comments — and the results were unanimous: Apple’s iPhone is the number-one smartphone you can buy.
Our Best Overall Winner - Apple iPhone
The iPhone is the best phone money can buy. It sets the standard for smartphones. It has the best build quality, all the popular apps, iMessage and a great camera with decent battery life. It's great for people new to technology and its intuitive design means you won't have to explain every little function. And it works perfectly with all the other Apple products.
Runner Up - Samsung Galaxy
The Samsung Galaxy is a great smartphone, but all the functionality just lacks that extra polish that you'll find with the iPhone. Yes its plenty powerful, and has a lot of apps, but in the end of the day, it tends to always be in the second place. Plus the whole exploding phones thing has really damaged the brand.
